Gary Koch PGA Tour, Champions Tour, NBC Sports Analyst I am asked to put my name on dozens of training devices and I rarely say YES. But the first time I hit balls with Golf's MVP Red Heat, I knew I needed to be involved with this one.
|||
Art Sellinger 2-time National Long Drive Champion CEO/Long Driver of America Golf's MVP is magical. You can't foot it and the feeling you get through the ball is incredible. I don't think there's ever been a golf training product like it.
|||
Gary Hallberg 3-time PGA Tour Winner In just two months, by wearing Golf's MVP, it's helped my right arm on the backswing, keep the width in my right arm, and hold the angle. That's where I get my distance. As I go back out on the Tour this season, I'm definitely taking Golf's MVP with me.

FAQ's |
Q. How can I get the best results from Golf's MVP? A. Your Golf's MVP comes with a Training DVD that takes you, step-by-step, through the MVP training system, designed to help both high and low handicappers improve accuracy and gain distance on all their shots. For most golfers it only takes a few minutes working with the MVP before they begin to feel a powerful golf swing. But real results come from repetition and practice. So keep it up!
Q. Can Golf's MVP be used both indoors and outdoors? A. Absolutely, Golf's MVP can be used anywhere you can swing a golf club. Hold on to that feeling at home between rounds. Take it to the range. You can even use it on the course. And see results even quicker with the Golf's MVP Indoor Training Club, designed to let you practice whenever, wherever. At only 24 long, it fits perfectly in almost any travel bag and makes it even easier to swing indoors. You can make the most of your MVP training by having the flexibility to practice even on rainy days or while traveling. And since it comes with a grooved training grip, it also automatically trains you to grip the club perfectly every time.
Q. What skill level or handicap is required to use and understand the MVP? A. Golf's MVP is the instant reference point to the perfect golf swing. For good pla yers, it will fine-tune your swing. For high-handicappers, it will overhaul your swing. And beginners can build a perfect swing from the outset. And here's the best part, Golf's MVP teaches by feel, so it's almost automatic!
Q. Can Golf's MVP be used for both right and left-handed golfers? A. Yes, Golf's MVP is designed to be used on either arm. Just be sure that the MVP is positioned on your trailing arm (right arm for right-handed golfers and left arm for lefties).
Q. Can I use my own golf clubs with Golf's MVP? A. Absolutely, the Golf's MVP patented technology works with any club in your bag. No special clubs required.
Q. How does Red Heat improve my swing? A. Basically, Golf's MVP Red Heat forces your arms and hands to execute your swing correctly. First, in the backswing: Golf's MVP strap design creates the ideal power position at the top of your backswing, giving you maximum width. The double-strap system of Golf's MVP simply won't allow the common problem of left-arm breakdown to occur. It prevents early and over-bending of the right arm, creating a wider swing arc and strong right angles that prepare you to store maximum power. The steel cable retracts into the automatic gearbox, becoming shorter, as your wrist hinges at the top. Once you're set, the automatic gearbox locks the cable. Then, the only way for the swing to proceed is the correct way. The MVP forces you to keep your hands passive, helping you initiate lower body motion and drop the club on plane. This in the slot delivering position of the club head creates lag and releases stored power at the moment of impact. Harvey Penick called this the magic move. Finally, once your hands reach hip level, the right arm begins to straighten and the automatic shift-box unlocks the cable, allowing your hands to release. Optimally, this wrist release happens late in the downswing to create maximum power and velocity at the moment of impactand more distance on every shot. The feedback is instant. If you release your hands too early (cast) or swing off plane, the feedback clip pops off, letting you know.
Q. What is a power leak? A. Power leaks, or losing power in your swing, come from the most common swing flaws: casting and coming over the top. Casting is the unhinging or releasing of the wrists too early in the downswing. The goal is to keep the hands passive in order to hold a 90-degree angle in your wrists until just before impact. This builds up centrifugal force by allowing the club head to lag behind the hands, then when the wrists release, the shaft unloads and sends all that stored power right through the ball. When you cast, and release that hinge early, you waste all your power before you even get to the ball. Casting also happens when a golfer tries to hit the ball by swinging with the hands (also referred to as throwing the hands at the ball). The locking mechanism of the MVP keeps you from releasing the all-important power angles too early. Even extremely skilled golfers may instinctively release too early. No wonder so many pros use MVP to help create consistent timing in their release. If you swing over the top, you haven't returned the club to the ball on plane. It usually happens when you begin your downswing with the upper body. While this can feel more powerful, it actually causes a lack of power and consistency. When the cable locks inside the MVP at the top of the backswing, the resistance guides your arms on the correct downswing path. This allows you to feel the effortless power of centrifugal force that is created by lagging the club head, and releasing the wrists just before impact.
Q. What is "lag?" A. The word "lag" means "to follow." In golf, you want the club head to follow or lag behind the hands on the downswing. Lag is the secret that every pro knows and every amateur needs to know. When you learn to lag your hands, you create centrifugal force, and store power, which is then released at the last possible moment. Think of how you throw a ball. Your wrist cocks back and when you throw, you snap that wrist forward, creating centrifugal force. It's much the same in your golf swing. Creating those 90-degree angles in your wrist and arm, and holding them, is the key. Golf's MVP helps you create lag like no other training product on the market can, by showing you how it feels to lag the club head.
Q. Why is it important to have a consistent late release? A.. In order to get the maximum power and velocity from your swing, you need lag and a consistent late release. The goal is to hold the power angles until the last possible moment in the downswing, then releasing the hands and allow centrifugal force to take over. Releasing too early in the downswing wastes all your stored power.
Q. What is the feedback clip all about? A. The feedback clip is an integral part of how Golf's MVP Red Heat corrects even the smallest power leaks in the swing of any golfer, even low handicappers. Golf's MVP works to minimize these common mistakes, helping you achieve maximum velocity and power in your swing. When you are successful at creating lag and holding those power angles, your feedback clip will stay attached to the club. If you swing off plane, or release your wrists angles too early, the clip will pop off, letting you know.
Q. What does the power gauge do? A. The power gauge is what allows Golf's MVP Red Heat to adjust as you learn, and what makes it perfect for golfers of all skill levels. When you're just starting out, we suggest putting the power gauge in minimum mode first. In this mode, the feedback clip is its most forgiving, and will not disconnect. As you begin training, you'll want to adjust the power gauge, taking it up by quarter turns as you progress in learning to keep the clip on your club. In maximum mode, the power gauge is its most sensitive.
Q. What do you mean by power angles? A. Power angles are the 90-degree angles created by your elbow and wrists when you set at the top of your backswing. In physics, the strongest angle is the 90-degree angle. And in golf, holding the 90-degree angles in your trailing arm and in your wrists until the last possible moment in your downswing delivers maximum force. And maximum force equals greater distance.
